George A. Peak

In Loving Memory of George A. Peak

George A. Peak served honorably in the US Navy Armed Guard Service during World
War II. George was well liked and respected by his ship mates and by his officers.
George performed all duties assigned to him and was always willing to do more
when called on to do so.

George served on four ships:

SS Caleb Strong 2/43-11/43
SS Hawkins Fudske 12/43-12/44
SS Samuel Griffin 1/45-8/45
USS Somers 9/45-12/45

George passed away in July 2004 and is greatly missed by not only his family
and local friends but by all those in the Armed Guard group who remember him.
