Jeffery R. D. Crockett
During WWII Jeff served aboard two Liberty Ships. He worked his passage across
the Atlantic from London to New York aboard the SS Bernard N. Baker, and later,
in the US Army Air Corps, he served in the 3rd Aircraft Repair Unit (floating)
aboard the SS Thomas LeValley — later renamed the Maj Gen Walter R. Weaver, in
the Pacific. They had a US Navy Armed Guard unit aboard his ship. His account
