Kenneth Bissett was born 2 January 1924 and died 7 July 2002. He served in the
Navy Armed Guard honorably during World War II, was well liked and respected by
all his shipmates.
Ken served on the following ships:
S.S. Malantic – From January 1943 to March 1943 when the ship was sunk
HMS Melrose Abbey – March 1943 – rescue ship
HMS Queen Elizabeth – March 1943 – Home to get another ship
S.S. William Dean Howells – May 1943
S.S. Davis L. Swain – June 1943 to October 1943
S.S. Samuel Chase – December 1943
S.S. Baldbutte – From December 1943 to February 1944
S.S. Susan V. Luckenbach – From July 1944 to March 1945
