Walter W Luikart served honorably in the WWII Merchant Marine. He served on the SS Hoffman Isle, SS Berkshire, SS Nicholas Herkimer, SS William H Moody, SS Fredrick A Kummer, SS Westminster, SS Christopher Gadsden, SS William Thornton and on the SS Nicholas Biddle. He presently resides in New Castle, Pa.
